Unauthorized plugin installation via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 28, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSRF in affected Inisev WordPress plugins allows remote attackers to install limited plugins via forged administrator requests. The handle_installation function accepts the inisev_installation AJAX action without validating a request nonce before starting installation. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link, and the resulting change is limited to plugins offered by the affected installer.
