CVE-2023-39747Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote compromise via radiusSecret overflow

Published Aug 21, 2023 · Updated Oct 7, 2024

Buffer overflow in TP-Link TL-WR841N V8, TL-WR940N V2, and TL-WR941ND V5 allows remote attackers to compromise routers via crafted HTTP requests. The /userRpm/WlanSecurityRpm handler copies the radiusSecret parameter without checking its length, overflowing a memory buffer. Unauthenticated network access to the web interface is sufficient; malformed input causes memory corruption with denial of service and potential code execution.
