Stored script execution via unsanitized New Buy input
Published Aug 28, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Free and Open Source Inventory Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through a New Buy entry. The New Buy workflow stores a crafted Add New value and returns it to a browser without neutralizing executable HTML or JavaScript. A victim must view the affected content, after which the payload executes with that browser session's access to the application.
