Command injection in D-Link DIR-859 A1 1.05 and 1.06B01 Beta01 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the CGI service. The /htdocs/cgibin handler invokes lxmldbc_system on unneutralized request data, allowing shell metacharacters to alter the command. The CGI service is network-reachable without authentication, and successful injection executes commands with the router service's privileges.
