Reflected script execution via unsanitized mid parameter
Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Reflected XSS in IceWarp WebClient 10.2.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through a crafted URL. The webmail request handler reflects the mid query parameter into the HTTP response without sanitizing characters that form executable HTML. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL; the injected script then runs in the trusted origin and can redirect the page or access session data.
