Script execution via stored menu navigation payload
Published Aug 28, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Zenario CMS 9.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary web scripts through crafted menu navigation text. The event Create workflow accepts a payload in the Menu navigation text field, saves it, and later renders it when an account menu item is hovered. Administrative access is required to create the event, and another user's interaction with the affected menu executes the stored payload in that user's browser.
