Filesystem-path disclosure via verbose CGI errors
Published Aug 29, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Full path disclosure in wal.fcgi in AudimexEE 15.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server filesystem paths via GET requests. The CGI handler returns error text containing its complete filesystem path when the Payload names a nonexistent .pl file or stateFilter contains a single quote. A normal portal account and network access to the handler are required; the demonstrated impact is disclosure of handler paths and infrastructure details, not arbitrary file contents.
