CVE-2023-39548Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unrestricted file upload

Published Nov 17, 2023 · Updated Dec 2, 2024

Dangerous-file upload in NEC EXPRESSCLUSTER X and SingleServerSafe 5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. WebManager/Cluster WebUI accepts attacker-supplied dangerous file types without enforcing a safe type restriction, enabling server-side execution. A valid product login and network access to the enabled WebManager service are required, after which the uploaded file runs commands on the server.
