Database read and write via unsanitized search phrase
Published Aug 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 3, 2024
SQL injection in PrestaShop 8.0.0 through 8.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter its database via back-office product search. ProductRepository::getSearchQueryBuilder wrapped searchPhrase in SQL wildcards and passed it to LIKE expressions without pSQL sanitization. High-privilege back-office access is required; successful injection allows database reads or writes and can interrupt the shop.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
