Code execution via insufficient JP2 input validation
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Memory corruption in PDF-XChange Editor 9.4.364.0 and 10.0.1.371 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted JP2 file. The JP2 parser insufficiently validates user-supplied data before processing it, producing a memory-corruption condition. Exploitation requires a user to visit malicious content or open the file, and resulting code runs in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
