Authenticated directory creation via unreverted MoveOrCopy state
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper filesystem access in Softing Secure Integration Server 1.22.0.8686 allows remote authenticated users to create directories. MoveOrCopy accepts a full path for an uninitialized FileDirectory, creates that directory, and fails without reverting the resulting SetPath state. Exploitation requires a crafted mapped OPC UA address space and sufficient authentication; alone, the flaw creates directories rather than files or code execution.
