Unauthenticated code execution via unfiltered object deserialization

Unsafe deserialization in Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1.22 through 8.1.34 allows remote attackers to execute code via Gateway Network requests. ParameterVersionJavaSerializationCodec.decode calls ObjectInputStream.readObject on attacker-controlled data without filtering, allowlists, or type checks. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires a configured Gateway Network and two requests to register the codec before a crafted object stream executes as SYSTEM.
