Arbitrary file upload via unvalidated workspace files
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway 5.1.3.20324 allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary workspace files. Workspace-file processing accepts user-supplied upload data without sufficient validation, permitting arbitrary files to be stored. The upload path requires authentication, but authentication can be bypassed; code execution as root requires chaining another flaw.
