CVE-2023-39447

Sensitive data disclosure via restnoded logging

Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Sensitive data exposure in F5 BIG-IP APM allows local users with high privileges to read information from the restnoded log. When APM Guided Configurations are configured, the component writes undisclosed sensitive information into restnoded rather than keeping it out of logs. F5 has not disclosed the data elements involved or the exact code path; the consequence is confined to confidentiality for users already holding high local privileges.
