Account access via accepted empty passphrases
Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Improper authentication in SAP Commerce HY_COM 2105, HY_COM 2205, and COM_CLOUD 2211 allows remote attackers to log in without a passphrase. The user ID and passphrase flow honors user.password.acceptEmpty=true and accepts an active account whose stored passphrase is empty. Exploitation requires such an active account; successful access grants that account's privileges and associated data access.
