CVE-2023-39423Network attack vector

Session impersonation via injectable session lookup

Published Sep 7, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

SQL injection in Resort Data Processing IRM Next Generation 5.3.2.15 allows remote attackers to obtain valid sessions and impersonate users. The /irmdata/api/common endpoint in RDPData.dll incorporates attacker-controlled input into a database query, allowing a UNION operator to return rows from the sessions table. No authentication or user interaction is required; exploitation exposes active session identifiers and permits assumption of an already logged-in user's session.
