Code execution via DFT parser out-of-bounds write
Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Solid Edge SE2023 before V223.0 Update 7 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted DFT file. The DFT parser writes past the end of an allocated structure while processing attacker-controlled file contents. Exploitation requires a user to open the file and can execute code in the current process or crash the application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
