CVE-2023-39406Network attack vector

Unauthenticated forced application restarts

Published Aug 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024

Permission-control failure in XLayout in Huawei HarmonyOS 3.0.0 and EMUI 13.0.0 allows remote attackers to force app restarts. Huawei identifies the affected locus as the XLayout component but has not published which permission check is missing or incorrectly enforced. No authentication or user action is required according to NVD, and the documented consequence is an app-level service interruption rather than a device reboot.
