Service interruption via incomplete input-method permission checks
Published Aug 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 10, 2024
Incorrect authorization in the input method module in affected Huawei EMUI and HarmonyOS releases allows remote attackers to interrupt features. Huawei states only that the module performs incomplete permission verification and has not disclosed the request path, API, or exact failed check. Network access requires no authentication or user interaction, and exploitation causes abnormal feature behavior without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
