VM restart via improper audio input validation
Published Aug 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 10, 2024
Improper input validation in Huawei EMUI and HarmonyOS audio modules allows remote attackers to restart virtual machines. Huawei has not disclosed the affected function or API, the malformed input accepted, or how processing that input reaches the restart condition. Network access requires no authentication or user interaction, and the documented consequence is limited to availability through VM restart.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
