CVE-2023-39364Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated open redirect via unvalidated ref parameter

Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Open redirect in Cacti before 1.2.25 allows remote authenticated users to redirect console users through a crafted password-change URL. auth_changepassword.php preserves the unvalidated ref parameter in a hidden form field, then passes it to the Location header after the password changes. The target must have Console Access, retain the default referer login option, and complete the password change; the redirect can lead to phishing or malicious downloads.
