Administrator-session script execution via unescaped query parameter
Published Aug 21, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Reflected XSS in Adenion GmbH Blog2Social before 7.2.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The plugin writes the deletedPostsNumber query parameter into its WordPress administration page without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open a crafted Blog2Social administration URL, after which the payload runs in that privileged session.
