CVE-2023-39357Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated RCE via unquoted numeric SQL values

Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

SQL injection in Cacti 1.2.24 allows remote authenticated users to escalate privileges and execute code through crafted numeric values. The sql_save function leaves numeric column values unquoted and passes them through _db_replace, allowing input from callers such as tree.php to alter SQL syntax. A valid Cacti account and reachable save endpoint are required; stacked queries can change path_php_binary and lead to server-side code execution.
