Incorrect user management in affected GitLab EE releases allows remote authenticated users to run pipeline jobs as arbitrary users. The scheduled security scan policy path assigns pipeline execution to a chosen user, but GitLab has not published the specific code locus or missing authorization check. A low-privileged account and a scheduled security scan policy are required; successful exploitation gives the job the selected user's access to data and project actions.
