CVE-2023-39305Network attack vector

Unauthorized rating manipulation via missing post checks

Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 29, 2026

Missing authorization in YASR 3.4.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to submit ratings for private or nonexistent WordPress posts. The voting path accepts a target post without requiring authentication or edit permission and fails to reject private or nonexistent post IDs. No account is required, and exploitation alters rating data for content that should not be publicly rateable.
