CVE-2023-39300Network attack vector

Administrator command execution via unsanitized application input

Published Sep 6, 2024 · Updated Sep 6, 2024

OS command injection in QNAP QTS 4.3.x and 4.2.x allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute arbitrary commands. An undisclosed application input reaches an operating-system command without adequate neutralization, causing attacker-controlled text to be interpreted as commands. Administrator access to the NAS management surface is required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands with the application's operating-system privileges.
