Firewall crash via crafted CSV endpoint requests
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in SonicWall SonicOS allows remote authenticated users to crash affected firewalls via crafted URL requests. The sonicflow.csv and appflowsessions.csv endpoints mishandle crafted request data, but SonicWall has not disclosed the precise unsafe operation. Exploitation requires an authenticated session and access to either endpoint; a successful request interrupts service by crashing the appliance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
