Authentication bypass in Dell SupportAssist for Business PCs 3.4.0 allows local users to perform privileged driver scans and installations. The SupportAssist user interface’s Run as Administrator component grants a locally authenticated non-admin its restricted workflow without requiring an administrator to sign in. Access requires a local non-admin session and the user interface; the privilege applies only inside SupportAssist and expires after 15 minutes.
