CVE-2023-39219Network attack vector

Administrative-console hang via Java class enumeration

Published Oct 25, 2023 · Updated Jun 12, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Ping Identity PingFederate allows remote attackers to hang the administrative console. An unnamed console dependency fails to bound resource consumption while processing crafted Java class-loading enumeration requests, leaving the console unresponsive; Ping Identity has not identified the dependency or code locus. Exploitation is network-based and unauthenticated but requires user interaction, and the publicly described outcome is loss of administrative-console availability.
