Memory leak in the Linux kernel ksmbd module allows remote attackers to interrupt service via unauthenticated SMB2_READ commands. The SMB2_READ handler fails to release request-associated memory after its effective lifetime, allowing repeated reads to exhaust kernel memory. Only Linux systems with ksmbd enabled are exposed; successful exploitation depletes memory and interrupts the SMB service or host.
