Credential capture via underchecked HTTP endpoints
Published Jul 26, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Qualys Web App Scanning Connector 2.0.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture Jenkins credentials. Several HTTP endpoints accept an attacker-chosen URL and credentials ID without checking the endpoint-appropriate permission, causing Jenkins to authenticate to the attacker's server. Exploitation requires global Item/Configure permission and a credentials ID obtained through another method; the reported consequence is disclosure of the selected stored credential.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
