Authenticated SSRF via unrestricted path parameter
Published Aug 1, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
SSRF in rConfig 3.9.4 allows remote authenticated users to make arbitrary server-side requests through a crafted path parameter. The ajaxGetFileByPath.php handler assigns the path query value directly to $filepath, then passes it to file_exists and file without restricting schemes or destinations. Any authenticated account can probe intranet services or read local files reachable by the PHP process, including through the file scheme.
