Authenticated SSRF via unrestricted path_a URL
Published Aug 1, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
SSRF in rConfig 3.9.4 allows remote authenticated users to make arbitrary server-side requests through a crafted path_a URL. The configcompare.crud.php handler passes path_a into compareClass.php's doDiff chain, where PHP file() fetches it without restricting the destination. A valid session is required, and crafted HTTP or file URLs can reach internal services or read server files.
