Authenticated script execution via unencoded stored input
Published Aug 3, 2023 · Updated Oct 18, 2024
Stored XSS in WebBoss.io CMS 3.7.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser via stored input. The CMS stores user-controlled content without input validation and renders it into a page without output encoding; public records do not identify the affected field or code locus. A low-privileged user must submit the content and another user must view it, enabling script execution in the CMS origin with bounded confidentiality and integrity impact.
