CVE-2023-39017Public exploit

Claimed arbitrary code execution via unchecked JNDI lookup

Published Jul 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Code injection in quartz-jobs 2.3.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted JMS connection-factory URL. SendQueueMessageJob.execute reads jms.connection.factory from JobDataMap and passes it to JNDI lookup without filtering LDAP or RMI schemes. The claim requires application code to supply an attacker-controlled JobDataMap, and the CVE is disputed because that input path is considered implausible.
