Code injection via unchecked pool argument
Published Jul 28, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Code injection in bboss-persistent 6.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via SQLManager.createPool. The createPool method accepts JDBCPoolMetaData containing external JNDI names and passes unchecked LDAP or RMI references to lookup processing, enabling attacker-controlled code execution. Remote attackers must be able to invoke the API with a crafted argument; successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
