Stored XSS via unescaped category title
Published Aug 25, 2023 · Updated Oct 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Badaso 2.9.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser through a category title. The Edit Category workflow stores the Title parameter and later renders it without neutralizing embedded HTML event-handler markup. An Editor account can plant the payload, but execution requires an administrator to open a new or edited post or category page.
