CVE-2023-38943Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Command execution via evaluated configuration values

Published Aug 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024

Code injection in ShuiZe_0x727 1.0 allows attackers to execute operating-system commands through a crafted config.ini file. The get_GitSensitiveInfo function and _web_ports initialization pass github_keywords and _web_ports values from config.ini to Python eval(), permitting expressions that invoke os.system. Execution requires a user to install a poisoned configuration or alter config.ini and then run ShuiZe, after which injected commands inherit the invoking user's privileges.
