CVE-2023-38935Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via unbounded QoS list copy

Published Aug 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 15, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC1206, AC8, AC5, AC10, and AC9 firmware allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the router. The formSetQosBand handler passes the list request parameter through setQosMiblist, where strcpy copies it into the fixed-size qos_str stack buffer without a length check. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation can interrupt routing service or execute code on the appliance.
