Remote code execution via unchecked page formatting
Published Aug 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda 4G300 1.01.42 allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the router via the /VirtualSer page. The httpd function FUN_0042e914 passes the attacker-controlled page parameter to sprintf without a length check, overflowing acStack_110. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted network request can interrupt service or enable code execution.
