Authenticated command execution via oversized stored password

Buffer overflow in NETGEAR DC112A 1.0.0.64, EX6200 1.0.3.94, and R6300v2 1.0.4.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. password.cgi stores the attacker-controlled http_passwd value in NVRAM, and smb_pass later consumes the unbounded string when HTTPD invokes it. A valid management session and a subsequent SMB password update are required; the resulting memory corruption or shell interpretation can compromise the appliance.
