CVE-2023-38902Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command injection via remoteIp field

Published Aug 17, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024

Command injection in Ruijie network appliances allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through a crafted POST request. The /cgi-bin/luci/api/cmd endpoint passes the remoteIp field into command processing without adequate sanitization, enabling command execution on affected devices. Access requires valid authorization to the management interface; successful exploitation can compromise device confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
