Browser script execution via unneutralized calendar parameters
Published Nov 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in OS4ED openSIS Classic Community Edition 9.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via CalendarModal.php. CalendarModal.php reflects the calendar_id, school_date, month, or year query parameter into the response without neutralizing HTML script markup. A victim must open a crafted URL, after which the script runs in that user’s browser under the openSIS origin and can read or alter data available to the session.
