Database disclosure via injectable group parameter
Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
SQL injection in ChurchCRM 5.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data through the group parameter in QueryView.php. The Registered Students query at QueryView.php?QueryID=21 incorporates the POST group value into SQL without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling Boolean-, time-, and UNION-based injection. The endpoint requires an authenticated session despite the CVE record's broader remote-attacker wording, and successful exploitation exposes database content, including user credentials.
