Session compromise via stored profile script injection
Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Oct 10, 2024
Stored XSS in ChurchCRM 5.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted PersonView.php profile. PersonView.php renders stored, attacker-controlled profile data when another user views the profile, but the exact field and encoding defect are undisclosed. Exploitation requires profile-editing access and a second user to open the profile, enabling data disclosure and unauthorized actions in that user's session.
