Authenticated disclosure via API authorization failure
Published Aug 9, 2023 · Updated Oct 10, 2024
Special Interest Group Network for Analysis and Liaison 4.4.0 through 4.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to read hidden poster attributes. The Inter-SOC Cooperation API's Information Provision and Group Message functions return poster attributes marked non-disclosure without enforcing that setting. A valid API account and interaction with affected functions are required; exposure is limited to confidential poster metadata, with no reported modification or service interruption.
