Heap-based buffer overflow in OMRON CX-Programmer 9.80 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code via a crafted CXP file. OMRON has not disclosed the affected parser or the length or bounds error that overflows heap memory while processing the file. Opening the file is required, and successful exploitation can also disclose information or compromise the application process.
