Authenticated code execution via traversable template filename
Published Aug 4, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024
Path traversal in Knowage Server before 8.1.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code via template upload. DossierActivityResource.importTemplateFile appends an untrusted multipart filename to the dossier resource path without normalizing it or restricting the uploaded file type. Low-privileged access is sufficient to place a JSP in the knowageqbeengine web application and execute it by requesting the uploaded path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
