Code execution via unchecked IGS buffer write
Published Aug 8, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation V2201 before V2201.0008 and V2302 before V2302.0002 allows attackers to execute code. The IGS parser fails to validate user-supplied file data before writing past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted IGS file, after which code runs with the current process's privileges and the application can crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
