CVE-2023-38673Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Command execution via shell-interpreted directory path

Published Jul 26, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024

Command injection in PaddlePaddle before 2.5.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating-system commands through a crafted path. LocalFS.mkdirs interpolates its fs_path argument into an os.system call for mkdir without quoting or neutralizing shell metacharacters. A consuming application must pass an attacker-controlled path to this method, after which injected commands run with the PaddlePaddle process's privileges.
